Career Opportunities: Mechanical Detailer (Inventor)
This position includes all activities of mechanical and equipment detailing using Inventor 3D modeling software including but not limited to the responsibilities and authorities outlined below. It interfaces directly with designers and engineers working on heavy mechanical equipment, job related or for standardization.
Detailing of parts and assemblies modeled in Inventor. Generation of detail drawings, BOM’s, requisitions and all related documents for release to the shop.
Planning of the daily work load in accordance with supervisor’s instructions.
Participate in engineering progress meeting.
Attend site visits for ongoing jobs as required.
Communicate with the supervisor about upcoming technical problems.
Recommend improvements to Wellons products and procedures.
Attend and provide support to internal customers.
Attend continuing education as required
Required skills:
Proficient in Inventor 3D detailing and generating of BOM’s.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2009 or higher.
3-5 years experience in detailing of heavy industrial equipment and sheet metal design.
Good knowledge in MS-office applications (Excel, Word, Access) and MathCAD.
Good communication.
Desired skills:
Knowledge in any other engineering software.
The Mechanical Detailer reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
