The qualified candidate will work within a team of electrical, instrument and control engineers designing and building bio-mass fueled energy systems, steam turbine co-generation facilities and lumber drying kilns, both domestically and internationally. Duties include, but are not limited to: Specify and purchase equipment. Produce electrical wiring, assembly and installation specifications and drawings. Configure and program PLC and HMI equipment. Supervise construction progress on site as necessary. Provide start-up and commissioning services on site. Customer support for our installed base of equipment. In addition, the candidate must possess solid written and verbal communications skills, as well as being customer focused; knowledge of standard computer programs (Word, Excel), be a self-starter, able to work independently, and work well under pressure and deadlines. Requirements for the job include, but are not limited to the following: BSEE or equivalent. Strong computer skills – MS Office applications and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of standard wiring techniques - NEC, NFPA. Relevant experience with motor control, variable frequency drives, PLC architecture, programming and troubleshooting and HMI integration. Working knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution. Experience in Turbine Generator controls desired. Ability to work well with all members of the organization, from upper management to skilled labor, is a must. Travel to job sites during design, construction management, commissioning and support is an integral part of this position. This position would report directly to the Electrical & Controls Engineering Manager.
