Drafter/Designer Mechanical Engineering
The Designer Mechanical Engineering reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
This position includes all activities of mechanical engineering design including but not limited to the responsibilities and authorities outlined below. It interfaces directly with Project lead engineers, standardization, piping, electrical, instrumentation and process engineering.
- Preparation of 2D drawings and 3D models of heavy equipment for biomass fired power-plants.
- Preparation of layout and assembly models and drawings based on generic instructions.
- Preparation of detail drawings, BOM’s, requisitions and all related documents for release to the shop and field installation.
- Planning of the daily work load in order to finish assigned duties within the established schedule.
- Participate in engineering progress meetings.
- Recommend improvements to Wellons products and procedures.
- Attend and provide support to internal customers.
- Attendance, interaction and communication with all Wellons departments.
- Attend continuing education where required.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years experience in mechanical and sheet metal detailing.
- Proficient in Inventor 2011 and AutoCAD 2011.
- Good knowledge in MS-office applications (Excel, Word, Access).
- Good communication skills, and able to work as a team member.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge in Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Knowledge of code requirements and specifications for process and power piping.
